I wish someone would tape Brother Lett's eyebrows so they wouldn't move up and down like window shades. The faces that he makes freak me out. -

Sour Grapes
Some of my best memories in life are about Christmas when I was a child. I loved the smell of the tree in the house, the beautiful lights and unwrapping the presents. Then my mom spent $0.10 one Saturday morning for the Watchtower and the Awake. Within 3 months my world came crashing down with no birthdays, Christmas or other holidays. Going out as a family after church to have dinner at a nice restaurant and then going to a movie stopped. Then my mom studied with me and my brother every week out of the Paradise book, which was such a waste of time. I absolutely hated it. My childhood was taken away from me for $0.10. I listen to Christmas songs all year long now because it takes my back to a happy time in my life.

Sour Grapes
The meetings are painful to listen to. I am so tired of hearing how close the end is. My grandmother thought she would not die because the end was so close. She died. My mother believed she would not die because the end was so close. She died. I do not believe the end is close and I too shall die.
I just love when visiting speakers on Sundays read the outline and only look up at the audience for about 10 seconds every minute. Then after the meeting everyone tells him how good his talk was. My wife came home after one meeting and told me how good the meeting was. I asked her to tell me one new thing she learned. She had no answer.
Everyone just goes through the motions, while everyone gets older, and the flock dies off one by one. Thank goodness the end is near.

Pictures in the Watchtower
by Sour Grapes inafter sitting through last sunday's watchtower i got so sick of seeing the bobbing/nodding heads when talking about the pictures.
they act like god himself took the picture.
there must have been 10 comments about the group in service and the one brother was looking at his phone with a smile, which is a dead give away that he was reading something interesting.. what got me was how the older brother in the posed picture had a bible in his hand had a stern look on his face looking at the young brother.

What got me was how the older brother in the posed picture had a Bible in his hand had a stern look on his face looking at the young brother. Comments like, "the young brother is on Jehovah's time and shouldn't be using his phone." "See how the brother with the Bible is upset that he isn't carrying his Bible." " See how busy the friends are in the background, they aren't on their phones," etc., etc.
For God's sakes, we are encouraged to now count how many "air" magazines we can place, and how many times we get someone at the door to squint and look at our phone in the bright light to see a video. Why emphasize the brother with a Bible in his hand when the tablet is to replace it. Everyone acted liked the young brother taking a minute break to catchup on something is getting paid $100 and hour!!!!!!!!!! He isn't getting paid one damn penny and if he is the driver is losing money.
I feel better now. (not)

If they only had a brain
by Sour Grapes inlast sunday i visited a hall to see a friend.
the brother giving the talk spent the first 20 minutes talking about how bad the world is and then the next 10 minutes he pointed out how god's kingdom is the answer.
one thing he mentioned is all of the millions of starving children in the world and how the money that we spend on just a few bombs that are dropped in the wars could feed thousands of children.

One thing he mentioned is all of the millions of starving children in the world and how the money that we spend on just a few bombs that are dropped in the wars could feed thousands of children. He said how bad he felt for all of these hungry children and that it breaks his heart.
He was very sincere and his voice actually quivered when it said that. The Witlesses then look forward to when God will destroy 99.9% of humanity, including these starving children, and don't even think twice about it. They feel good because the worldly people had it coming. Witness pray for Armageddon to come. Can't they see how stupid they look?

One day assemblies
by Sour Grapes inthis may have been discussed before.
the costs for using the assembly hall for a one day last saturday was $12,000 with another assembly for the other half of the circuit on sunday, which will ring up another $12,000.
if the assembly was for two days the friends might roll their eyes if it were announced the costs for the two days was $24,000.

The $12,000 seems to be at the outer limits where not too many of the friends will rebel with their wallets.
I assume that the one day assemblies is just to make more money. I would love to see the breakdown of the costs. Of course we will never get that.

We are pleased to announce that you no longer need to have hard copies of the public Watchtower and Awake because we will cover every page on our JW Broadcasting. Our loving God has seen fit that we just need to leave tracts at the door because people are so busy that they would read these over more lengthy magazines. It is recommended that you just leave the tracts in the door and don't talk to anyone. The end is near and if we talk to the householder they may refuse the tract. Please keep track of all tract placements when turning in your service report. The heading on these reports will be changed to eliminate the mag column to be replaced by tracts. To make sure that everyone has access to the online study watchtower, Apple has agreed to offer us a special discount of 30% for their iPads and the congregations will buy and rent iPads to all who can not afford to buy one. We can see Jehovah's hand in this as his war chariot races to the impending, right around the corner, don't buy any green bananas, GT.
